"Man’s best friend" is a common phrase about domestic dogs, referring to their millennia-long history of close relations, loyalty, and companionship with humans. The dog is a loving companion to a man. He is happy to go everywhere with his master. He shows his affection for his master by wagging his tail and licking his hand or face. If his master is blind, the dog helps him to cross the street and acts as his loving guide. No man can feel lonely when he has a dog for company. This footage is a bright example of loyalty of a dog.
In the footage, filmed in Colombia, the pooch lies on top of the man and barks at anyone who comes near him.  The loyal pooch literally throws itself over its owner and anytime someone approaches him, it starts barking to fend them off - even if they had good intentions. It keeps watch by circling the unconscious man constantly to ensure there’s nothing sinister happening near him.

While we’re pretty sure dogs don’t understand human speak, this one comes pretty close. As a police officer comes over to wake the guy up, the dog sits by its owner and starts licking his face, almost as if to say: "Come on mate, I’m hungry, let’s get out of here." Eventually the guy stirs and comes out of his haze, although he still looks like he shouldn’t operate heavy machinery for a while. The dog even stamps on his chest to keep him on the ground as he appears to still be in a bad way.
