We have already seen the wonderful innovations of the technology. Among them Sion is notable. The Sion is an innovative electric car with integrated solar cells in the body, a range of 250km and its price is less than € 16,000.
The Sion’s main innovation lies in its 330 solar cells, which are integrated on the exterior of the car and capture the sun’s energy throughout the day to provide a boost of up to 30km per day. The stored energy can be used through bidirectional charging for all common electronic devices. The solar cells generate a maximum power of 1,204 watts with 24 percent efficiency.
The Sion is a family friendly vehicle, thanks to 5 seats and optional trailer coupling. In short: A self-charging electric car for infinite, sustainable driving. Many argue that the panel have to be in optimum conditions to be in with a shout of generating useful amounts of power and even if in these conditions the amount generated is low.
Breaking people’s reticence toward electric vehicles - either through improved charging infrastructure or development of solar cars - will be critical as many countries and cities around the world look to ban fossil-fuel cars in the coming decades. The large trunk means you’ll find it a breeze to get your shopping done.
